The respect of the environment

We would like to highlight key and concrete actions in the operation of the hotel that allow us to minimize our environmental impact, including:

• A 80% locally sourced breakfast: sheep's milk yogurt, cheeses, veal sausage, organic Corsican eggs; homemade cakes and pastries; fresh bread from the neighboring bakery; homemade or artisanal Corsican and organic jams; 100% Corsican and anti-waste fruit juices with our partner La Corsica; local and seasonal whole and cut fruits; etc.
• We have chosen not to equip our rooms with hospitality trays (kettle, coffee machine) and mini-bar. We thus avoid the manufacture and maintenance of household appliances whose lifespan is reduced in this type of use and reduce energy consumption. Instead, you have a shared refrigerator and 2 drink corners with a wide choice of quality hot drinks as well as still and sparkling filtered water taps.
• Our welcome products are made in bulk (reusable cans) by La Savonnerie du Nebbiu just a few kilometers from the hotel from mainly local and 100% natural raw materials.
• All our joinery is made of wood with double glazing. This allows customers to reduce the temperature in the room by closing the shutters and to guarantee good insulation. This type of material has a limited environmental impact compared to aluminum or PVC.
• All our rooms and our restaurant are equipped with air mixers. This significantly reduces the need for air conditioning (even if all our rooms have them).
• We have chosen landscaping that exclusively highlights endemic species with a large quantity of honey-producing plants to support ecosystems. We do not use any chemical products or fertilizers in our garden.
• All of our furniture has been sourced in Europe or the Mediterranean basin, favoring natural materials: wood, sea rush, raffia, ceramic, tadelakt, etc. This ensures more environmentally friendly manufacturing and reduces the environmental impact of transport.
• During the construction site we made sure to use eco-labelled products whenever possible and reused materials present on site (stones for example). We also gave a second life to a large majority of the installations of the existing house (gutters, toilets, heating system, doors, joinery, etc.).
